THP and Agenda 2030

A world without hunger is possible!

In September 2015, the world’s leaders agreed in the UN on probably the most ambitious declaration of intent in the history of mankind: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of the 17 goals that puts people, our planet and our prosperity at the center is the call to end hunger worldwide by 2030.

Never before has mankind had such a chance. The whole world joins the call that the Hunger Project made back in 1977: It is time to end hunger once and for all.

Based on the principles of the Hunger Project, we will work towards these sustainable development goals. Most of all, we can contribute to ending chronic hunger by 2030 by relying on and strengthening our own programs: At the heart of our activities is the building of large-scale partnerships and alliances that promote gender-based, community-driven development in all rural areas where it is needed.
